Egypt vs Cote Divoire: The match rocked live!

Last saturday was the big match between Egypt and Cote Divoire in the African Cup of Nations. I went with a few friends to watch the match live in the stadium in Cairo. The experience was unbelievable! Imagine a huge stadium filled with Egyptian flags, people in red, white, and black, all cheering for the same team! I was overwhelmed! You'd look at people around you and find people of all ages, all genders, and all classes sitting together and cheering for the home team! I bought myself one of those funky hats, painted my face, and shared flags with the people around me. I also went around painting the faces of people I didnt know and it was such an amazing thing! I had so much fun doing it!

The air in the stadium was electrifying when Egypt scored the first goal! Then it went totally silent when Cote Divoire scored. Then it went absolutely crazy when Egypt scored the 2 goals after that! I was thrilled! Once the match was over the streets were nuts! People were walking in the middle of the streets literally blocking the way for the cars coming and going. They started sitting on their cars and honking their horns. I got home in 3 hours! But it was fun, we were talking to people in the streets and to people in their cars. Everyone had smiles on their faces!

I definately recommend the experience to everyone!
GO EGYPT!

A woman who knows what she's doing!

A beautiful woman and a man are involved in a car accident.
Both of their cars are totally demolished but amazingly neither of them are hurt.

After they crawl out of their cars, the woman says, "So you're a man, that's interesting. I'm a woman. Wow, just look at our cars! There's nothing left, but fortunately we are unhurt. This must be a sign from God that we should meet and be friends and live together in peace for the rest of our days."

Flattered, the man replied, "Oh yes, I agree with you completely!"

This must be a sign from God!" The woman continued, "And look at this, here's
another miracle. My car is completely demolished but this bottle of wine didn't break. Surely God wants us to drink this wine and celebrate our good fortune."

Then she hands the bottle to the man. The man nods his head in agreement, opens it and drinks half the bottle and then hands it back to the woman.

The woman takes the bottle, immediately puts the cap back on, and hands it back to the man.

The man asks, "Aren't you having any?"

The woman replies, "No. I think I'll just wait for the police..."

Dahab! The best trip ever!

Snug up in a truck going to the Blue Hole

The gang after eating dinner & figuring out the "blue eyes" riddle

Im suffering from post-Dahab trip depression and so are the rest of our friends from the trip. We had such an awesome time that being back just really sucks! Dont you hate it when you realize how much fun you had on a trip only when you come back?! I couldnt have asked for a better New Years nor for a better group of people to share it with. We just had a blast! The trip started off with alot of things going wrong but we had smiles on our faces the whole time! People were sent back to Cairo on our way to Dahab, others got stood up by the bus that was supposed to bring them, plus the hotel we went to never heard of our reservation! Hehe everything just went wrong! But we laughed about it all, right there and then. We went swimming in the famous Blue Hole which is a part in the sea where the floor just drops really deep suddenly. It took the guys quite some time to convince us to jump in! Im glad that they pushed us though...it was worth it! We had a very nice walk afterwards too. The ride there and back was quite funny! Bumpy as hell and full of curves! We were all grabbing onto each other so as not to fall over! On another day we took paddle boats out and sang, talked, and laughed. On New Years eve itself we all went to this party that had sucky music! But of course that did nothing to dampen our spirits! We just danced, made up the funniest and silliest dances on earth, and sang at the top of our lungs. We also managed to gather some wood and go by a lagoon in the desert and started our very own private campfire. It was maybe 11pm when we started the fire and we stayed till 3am or something! We brought in more wood and just again sang and talked but this time it was too funny! It got to the point that we were singing really silly TV commercials! Afterwards went for a nice quiet walk at 5am. The rest of the trip was made up of nice relaxing dinners, breakfasts, and just long walks. Guys, I had an awesome time and I miss spending every second of my day with you. The greatest group ever! Till the next trip inshallah! MWAH!
