HOW in Boulaq
We started our learning team project about 2 weeks ago. HOW is a project about teaching the kids of Boulaq to develop habits that are environment friendly, like closing the tap when they are not using the water, not dumping trash in the streets, etc. We went twice to a total of 3 schools and it was a great experience. The kids really responded to us and I was thrilled to see that we managed to keep them interested for 6 whole hours! As we were leaving we got huge hugs and they wanted to know when we'd be back. It was really sweet. We are meeting the kids this sat and next fri, and I really hope we see a change in their behaviour. Even if we had a great time with them and they enjoyed it, the point is for them to want to have a cleaner Cairo. I hope we managed to convey the importance of that to them.

hey hun! we went to 3 schools in total to teach them first in their classrooms then we are now in the process of taking the same 3 schools to see the recycling being done in Hay il Zabaleen. The first trip was last sat and it went well. The kids were amazed with what can be done from garbage. I just hope that they can develop the habit of not dumping things anywhere...some of them are still doing that but others have become more conscious.
